Server management
Someone responsible for the servers you already have.
Patching, monitoring, backups, hardening and the unglamorous operations work that only gets noticed when nobody has been doing it. On your servers, wherever they run.
What this is for
Plenty of businesses own servers nobody is really looking after. They work until an update is missed, a disk fills, a certificate expires or a backup turns out not to have been running for four months.
This is the service that prevents that. It is not hosting: your servers stay where they are, whether that is your office, a data centre or another provider. We take responsibility for keeping them healthy.
What we take on
Patching and updates
Operating system and package updates applied on a schedule, tested rather than automatic.
Monitoring
Disk, memory, load, certificates and services watched, with someone to act when they alert.
Backups that are verified
Backups configured, and restores actually tested. An untested backup is a hope.
Hardening
Firewalls, SSH policy, fail2ban and the basics that stop most opportunistic attacks.
Incident response
When something breaks, a person who knows your setup rather than a ticket queue.
Documentation
What runs where, and how it is configured, written down and handed to you.
Not sure what you are running?
That is common and it is a reasonable place to start. We will audit what you have and tell you what needs attention first.
